1969 topps #659 Johnny Podres

Hi everyone i have been reading the boards for about a month but have my first question. I am putting together a raw 1969 topps baseball set and was just searching ebay for some of my holes(about 130 of them still). Anyways all cards of Podres #659 have a stain on the left side of them that is quite large. Is this on ALL of the #659s or if i search are there some out there that are not stained? Thanks.

Also if you have some nice exmt or up raw 1969 i may be interested. thanks in advance.

I'm not sure that it is a stain -- looks like it might be lights in the background. And, yes, they all seem to have it.

Bigfische ...........As srs1a stated , it does indeed belong on the card , and probably a very good guess as to it being lights in the background ! I checked the Psa 1969 Basic Registry , and the #15 set - Magellan's - Psa 7 ............#10 set - Grady Mosay's - Psa - 8 ............and the # 20 set - Ron Sanders - Psa 9 .......all have the same identical thing ! ...................Robbie

not too dis-similar to this card...although it is in better focus on the '69 Podres

here are my 69's, all are psa 8 quality (except maybe the taylor due to centering) but nice cards. 72 taylor 96 lemaster 140 lefebvre and 510 carew.

I guess i have never had one in my hand to look at so i guess it could just be lights in the background. Thanks for the info!
