Help with 1878 8TF VAM Identification

I have looked at my books and online and still can't figure out the VAM on this coin.

Any help will be appreciated.

The photos are too small to be certain, but I believe that's an A1E reverse.

If so, VAM-10 or 15. No spike on the '7', so VAM-15 MAYBE. Take a look and see if LIBERTY
is radically doubled.

It was a coin that I bid on in a auction, so I don't have the coin in hand. I thought maybe it was a VAM-14.4, but the pictures weren't very good so I didn't bid high enough to win the coin. So, now I just wondered what VAM I missed out on.

I won the coin. I think I know the VAM, but I'll let you know for sure when I get it.

I'm thinking VAM 14.4. But I'm concerned that I can't see the die chip above the eagle's left wing, which is the usual tip-off. Its my best guess, and I thought it was worth the $132 price. I wouldn't mind if Jack is right though, but it doesn't look like a 15 to me.

It's a 14.4. Dished DMPL reverse gives it away, engraved feathers of A1i reverse confirms it. Nice coin, better variety.
