I'd have PM'd but yours is off. Your plank owner cert and Desert Shield Suez Canal certificate in your sig line struck a bell. Are either one, or both of those events connected with CVN-69 or CVN-70.

I was on Ike in Desert Shield and did the ditch. I figure you were on Ike or Kennedy to have a Suez Canal Desert Shield thingy. Was the Plank Owner Carl Vinson? Real possible our paths crossed.

Hi John,
Both Cert's are mine Set the record for doing "The Ditch" on the USS SARATOGA (CV-60). Only carrier to do the entire Shield and Storm event. Was gone for 7 1/2 months The Plank Owner Cert is for USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN-74). Retired from that one.
