I had fun today!

A buddy of mine got a bunch of old coins from his dad, who is in his mid 80s. I asked if I could come over to take a look, expecting maybe a little bag of junk silver. Well, he kept bringing out box after box ... so much we just didn't have time to look at it all. Here's a brief, VERY high-level overview of what I saw:
2 rolls of Morgans (incl many MS, some PL, some toned, and a circ 82-CC)
1 roll of Peace dollars
7 rolls of 40% Kennedys
5 rolls of '64 Kennedys, all unc
4 rolls of silver Washingtons
12 rolls of silver Roosies
5 rolls of Mercs (no 16-D, we checked em all)
1/2 roll of SLQs, including a couple Type 1s
1/2 roll Walkers
10 rolls of wheaties - some in the 30s and 40s still RD and RB
1 roll war nickels
1 roll Buffalo nickels
1 1969 proof set
A few odds and ends: 8 IHCs, 2 Barber dimes, 3 V nickels, 1853 lg cent, 1 Philippine 5 centavo
Darkside stuff all from 30s and 40s. (He had been stationed in Europe after the war)
Britain
France
Belgium
Netherlands
Reichsmuenze (incl. a nice toned 2 Mark Hindenburg)
Canada incl. 1837 1 Sou and a Victoria large cent
Argentina 1889 1 centavo
Lots of German inflation notes (1000 Mark up to 5 Million Mark)
and a very nice Nazi dagger in a scabbard, "Alles fuer Deutschland" engraved on the blade.
My buddy's dad must have just tossed anything in, because we recovered over $200 in clad pocket change. My heart skipped a beat when I unwrapped a paper packet labeled "Gold dollars", but it was just a handful of Sacs!
At first glance (which took 3 hours) there's nothing to write home about, but realize this stuff has NEVER been searched by anyone who knew about coins. Who knows what gems, VAMs, errors, etc. may lurk? I can tell you that much of the silver "modern crap" was BU, and a lot of those had impressive original toning.
And, even if we didn't find treasure, what a fun way to pass the afternoon! I know you dealers probably get stuff in like this all the time, but for me it was like a trip back into my childhood.
He can't sell it now because it belongs to his dad. But I've asked him to let me know if his dad does decide to sell. I definitely want to take a closer look!
