HSN Coins On Now - Few Questions

No NASCAR race today, so I'm bored and watching HSN coin vault or whatever it's called. Few things from their commentary I suppose I didn't know and wondered about if anyone else is bored and cares to respond. The search was giving me errors just now, so maybe they've been answered already.
1) They just got done with the explanation of their ICG 1st Day of Issue SP69 sets. According to them, the 1st day is for coins gathered on the 1st day they are available. They went on to say why "First Strike" is inferior - because they are coins sent in for grading within the 1st 30 days after issue - I don't know the host's name, but he made a comparison to stamps and basically called the first strikes worthless in his opinion in relation to the HSN exclusive "First Day" sets.
1a) Are we to expect SPxx grades from other companies now? It's what ICG is calling satin finish proof coins.
2) They were just going on about ICG - He said 2 of the top 3 graders in the country work at ICG. He said one is featured in the ANA grading video - Guess I'm not "In the know" as they keep saying and know off the top of my head who they're talking about.
They had a Kennedy blowout about 1/2 hour ago - I asked Russ if he was watching, but he has no TV at work
The gold buffalo is coming up sometime soon it says too (EDIT: Ouch $2k <rounded back Mark > for an ICG PR70 DCAM 1st Day Buffalo)

2- I don't know if they're the top graders, but JP Martin is certainly an authentication expert and is at ICG. Don't know who the other one is.
