newbie question

I have heard collectors mention "wax" as in the wrappers I presume. The collection I have on consignment has thousands of wrappers. Are they worth anything?

Thanks,

Older wrappers, particularly 60's and before can be worth good money. I am not an expert on it but I know there are plenty of collectors of vintage wax wrappers.
I am buying and trading for RC's of Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Bob Cousy!

I think for the most part when somebody is talking about wax they're talking about packs/boxes/cases of unopened cards. Some of the older wrappers are worth a lot, but a box full of newer ( 1980+) ?? wrappers probably won't get you much.

Here's some closed auctions to get an idea

Thanks for the info. The ones inparticular that I noticed are 1989 Topps Baseball. 36 of them I believe. There are other varities and years in some other boxes. I'll have to check it out.
    Once again,
    Thank You,
