1977-D Eisenhower on 40% silver planchet

Apparently a few 1977-D Eisenhower dollars were struck on 40% silver planchets, I think I may have stumbled upon one of these. Other than sending it in for grading, is there another way to tell? It hasnt been cleaned, it just shines like a proof.

If you can weigh it, do that. It should weigh whatever the 40% silvers weigh, which is 24.59 grams. Congratulations if you found one. Post a picture if you can. I would love to see it.

You can also tell by looking at the edge of the coin -- copper-nickel clad coins have a reddish copper core, while this coin should not.

That would not work if someone plated them image

I would have to agree--weigh it!

    If it's real, YOU SUCK!
