What is your ONE choice for the most underpriced twentieth century coin?

OK, I'll get on the copycat post bandwagon with this.

My chioce is the lowest mintage 20th century minor regular issue coin--the 1913 S Barber Quarter. Not cheap, especially after the increase over the past few years, but one of my favorites and relatively underpriced IMO.

I also believe some of the low mintage classic commems are underpriced--especially the BTW and WC sets.

The platinum eagles. Very low mintages and low prices, relative to mintage.

1897-0 barber dime, nice orig VF-XF condition.

Similar things can be said for most New Orleans mint Barbers of all denominations. I just like the challenge in this one. Not as pricey as the 95-0, but try to find one.

Its hard to believe that anything is underpriced in this current hot market.

I'll pick the 1960 Small Date Proof Cent. Why is it so much cheaper than the 1970 s small date Proof? Anybody know the estimated mintage of each?image

So many to chose from! But I will say 1904-s Half Dollar. Low mintage, low pops [despite being are juiced up with many many resubmissions] and it's a set that can be finished.

I am sure there are lots more, just look in the series which are not heavily collected. Low demand, low price.

I would have to say any MS65 D or S mint Buffalo from the 20's with a hammer of a strike. Registry fans for the most part are looking for numbers and will pass up a strong 65 in favor of a weaker, and much more expensive, 66.

I don't have a real good feel for this one but I'd guess about 8% of mintage.

With attrition and degradation that probably leaves around 110,000 nice examples extant of the '70-S.

    1914 S barber quarter or 1927 s quarter.

I buy ever one I see.

There is one other one too but I am still hoarding them so I don't want to let the cat out of the bag

    A really good choice.

I'd also nominate the 1936 Phillipine/American commemoratives (sorry, it's three coins, not one). They're picking up some serious steam, but I expect they've got a ways to go yet.

It might be a nice choice unc 1982-P quarter. It's a regular issue that isn't even
worth the cost of slabbing but just isn't out there. Very few uncs are seen and
those which are will not be nicely struck coins with minimal marking.

These are a real bargain in MS-64 or even down to 62. Even in the souvenir sets
fewer than half are truly choice and many of these will be tarnished. The number
of these in choice and better might be fewer than six or eight thousand. That's not
many for a mass market and $7 to $15 retail isn't much for a coin of this scarcity.

    Here here...

I have a complete set of Washington quarters, PDSS in Capital plastic, all nice MS64+ *except* for that one coin. There's just a hole there. I haven't been able to find one nice enough to complete my set.

A local dealer in this area has a three row box(1 1/2x 1 1/2 flip) of 27-s quarters, most are between good-fine, but he has them, and I have seen them in person. He also has several other 20th century semi dates!
