Need explanation please, two differnt color 1981 cent Lincolns

I have two coins, both are 1981 Lincoln cent. One seems to be red the other more of a brown, is this normal?
Thank you.

  • The darker one is probably just stained.

The coin on the right is discolored -
could have been in the ground for
a time, or otherwise had the surfaces
turn this reddish color by other
    enviornmental reactions.

The toned one was probably found after being exposed to the wheather.
