Can $5 coins be purchased from banks?

I was just wondering can $5 coins be purchased directly form local banks and if yes, would the price be face value?
Also, if they can be purchased straight out, how would one go about asking for them? Thank you.

"Hello local bank employee person, I'd like to buy some $5 coins, do you have any? How much are they?"

And I can't get new rolls of dimes here either. Not enough call for them, they can keep going on what people bring in, so they don't ask for any. I think that's the explanation I got.
<< <i>if your asking about $5 gold pieces, the answer is NO >>
actually, the answer is "duh"
<< <i>There is one "bank" here in town that sells SAE and GAE business strikes. Its a "First Bank and Trust". Don't know what arrangement they have with the Mint >>
Most likely none. When you find a bank with things like that for sale they are normally being sold for a coin dealership. One of the banks here had coins for sale for years. They were being sold for silvertowne and the bank got a cut of the profit without the inventory expense. Several of the other banks and credit unions sell state quarter sets as well. They are also supplied by Silvertowne. (Silvertowne is just 18 miles down the road.)
Heck, we need that time machine again
