DMPL collectors -- here's a really RARE date in amazing condition...

Following is a PCGS MS65 DMPL 1887/6 dollar that is a POP 3/0 with only THIRTEEN deep mirror prooflikes total certified by PCGS for the date. I owned the PCGS Tour Coin, passed on the Hoffnagle coin when it was offered for sale in the Heritage 2005 FUN Signature Sale -- and can state without hesitation that I feel this specimen is the FINEST of the three MS65 DMPL's by a comfortable margin. I hope you enjoy the view.

<< <i>Super, but I do not believe three exist until I see them side by side. Do you really think three exist? >>
Yes, there are three -- the PCGS Tour Coin that I owned several years ago; the Hoffnagel coin from the Heritage 2005 FUN Signature Sale (which I didn'tlike at all) and this coin, which I like a lot.

<< <i>I'm not sure if the marks under the chin are on the plastic? But the coin looks nicer than the "above average" 65, especially being DPL. Its one very nice coin that brings me back to the reality that my coins are rather banged up. >>
The quality of this specimen surpasses that of many coins in MS66 DMPL holders -- it is at the uppermost end of the grade designation.
