Why do Ebay sellers do this

I see it over and over a listing where they start the auction at the same price as the BIN. To me this is just a waste of listing fees, why not list it as a non-store fixed price auction and save a few cents on the BIN.

Also sellers who start their listings at 1.00 or 10.00 another waste of listing fees. I actually emailed one on time and asked him if he would pay me 100 a month if I could save him 200 dollars on listing fees a month.

I have often wondered that myself. I guess they have money to piss away. They should take a minute and read eBay's fee policies. For large volume sellers the money saved would really add up.
