Toned Peace dollars like this one are growing on me...

I bought this 1922-D Peace dollar on eBay a couple months ago. It looks crusty and original to my less than highly trained eyes -- do you think it's NT?

It looks NT to me, unfortunately the grade will be limited by the hit on the cheek (I'm seeing MS64) otherwise it's a gorgeous gem+ example. Great find!

Toned Peace dollars are a tough call. I used to like them a lot, but now I shy away. It's really easy to get burned.
There are many examples that are in slabs from the big three TPG's that are not NT.

NT and very attractive. Sadly, many Peace $s just don't tone well.

Thanks for your comments, everyone. I agree that it is a 63 or 64 at best. I may try to submit this across the street to see if I can get a * designation.
