SMR vs. eBay Store

If SMR value is $20.00 how much should I sell ebay Store? $10? $12? 15? include shipping. I'v seen most people sell about 1/2 price to 2/3 off SMR range. What if $100? Should I sell $50? $75? I have about 600 PSA cards ready for ebay store.

You could always list them at 100% of SMR but leave the make best offer option open. That way you will get your fair share of full book sales but also leave the choice for the buyer to make you an offer. If its too low you just reject it, but more often than not you can get some good offers. It worked fairly well for me in my store.

I agree 100% with what bri said. I have commons in my eBay store at full SMR with best offer. You end up selling quite a few at full price and you'll get enough "good" offers (70-80% of SMR) to make it worthwhile, unless your stuff is really easy to find at better prices.

You will get your share of 'bozo" offers but you can either ignore them or decline without comment. I got one of these today - $1.95 for a $200 item.
  • If it was me, I would list the item for about 50% OVER the average ebay selling price (screw book value) and offer a best offer option. I would decrease the price every couple of days or so until a buyer either buys the item (with instant payment) or until I get a fair offer from a buyer who has good feedback.

take a look at what others are selling them for. Since the cards are graded, why would some pay you $40 for a PSA 8, when someone else has it at $20; assuming the other seller also has good feedback and ok S/H. Scan the other guys' stuff so you have a good idea of the market. Of course, if you paid $40, then I guess list it for $40, but it's hard to recall the price paid on everything all the time.
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!
  • I would thinking about 35 or 40% off SMR value may sell little faster. I would thinking about 40% off SMR first 30 days then additional 10% off for another 30 days. That my best option.
