Too early for Guess the Grade and/or Guess the VAM? - 1921-D
Guess the grade and/or guess the VAM. It's a 1921-D slabbed by ANACS over a year ago (older holder).
The large images are scans and every flaw is emphasized. The vertical lines on Liberty's face are barely visible in-hand.
I tried to take a photo to show the luster, but as you can see, my skills are somewhat lacking.

No. ANACS did not give it an MS63.
No. It's not a 1Q in any die state. The reverse cracks are different than the 1Q.
Any more VAM guesses? It's not in Rob's book, but has been around long enough to be documented at Ashmore and in the VAM updates.

<< <i>VAM-16? >>
Nope. If this is getting annoying, say the word and I'll post the attribution!

<< <i>An acquisition, or was it your discovery? >>
My discovery from last year. It's not easy finding a 21-D that hasn't gone by Rob.

They come around every so often but getting Leroy to designate them as new VAMs is like pulling teeth from a mountain lion.
