the whole better than the sum of its parts

just looking how evenly matched my 3 PCGS MS64RBs and 3 PCGS MS64 nickels are, I decided on a identically lighted and sized composite pick of them. Just wanted to share. The individual pics are much better. I particularly like the matched satiny look of the nickels, although the individual pics below in my type set look better!

I agree with your characterization - the coins together look terrific.

That's the way you do it Eugene. I am obviously familiar with some of those but you did a superb job on your own of using patience and discretion to find others which matched in terms of originality and eye appeal. A lovely display to be sure.

Very well matched coins. I like the Liberty nickel the best.

Very nice and well matched! Congrats....
  • the question beckons. why does the lg cent look more orange than the color-paired 1c/2c? Is it that the pure copper has this color as compared to the bronze pieces which contain tin and zinc?

  • I like them - nice little set!

I hope you don't mind my messing with your photo, but I figured since you're not
showing labels anyway, might as well get rid of the plastic. image
