WOWSER! Believe me, this is a tough card, mainly because of centering,
but $517? Holy Cow!

Looks like someone (2 people actually) really wanted this bad boy!

I sold the World Series Yaz card from the 1968 set (#152) a month ago and it went for over $300 in PSA 8. Guess REd Sox fans are DIE-HARD fans??!!

It was a population one with none higher. I think for player collectors - it is something that they would consistently pay up for.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
  • A GAI 9 or 9.5 sold last year for $1350. It really is a tough card.

517 was cheap. I am sure he would have gone over 1000 for it. sold him a 7 for 150. I didn't see the card til after it ended but would have expected it to go higher. if that gai 9.5 was in a psa 9 holder it would have fetched 2500-5000 without a problem
  • Yaz collectors are pretty hard core. I thought this one was pretty high
    yaz 1981 coke psa10

It was a one of one 10 with no 9s, 'till two days latter and my grades popped. Then there was another ten and a nine.

Wasnt there a post a while back regarding two big time Yaz collectors who have big time ambition and a budget to match ?

oysh481217 has one some stuff for pretty nice coin, including a 69 OPC Yaz (517), an 81 coke (355), and another 1981 odd ball (355), just in the last two weeks.
