I was browsing my usual auction searches and came across this, I don't know how to do a link but here is the Ebay item number: 230010240187.
I started collecting Banks cards when he was a rookie out of Iowa and picked up quite a few different ones the first two years, but then when he got injured I just kind of put the collection on the back burner and concentrated on my other collections. I do Ebay searches just to see if any cards ever come up that I don't have, then I come across this auction with a .01 starting bid. It contains three cards I don't have, the two 1999's and the 1998 EX, so I thought I would pick them up and placed a bid, all of a sudden, I get an outbid notice, it was still pretty low after that so I raised my bid. 15 minutes later I get another outbid notice, now I'm thinking what??? this is Tavian Banks, so just out of curiosity I raised my max by $5 and I still am not high bidder, now I 'm thinking how high will this guy go? I chickened out at $21 after thinking I could buy a couple of Jerry Rice jersey cards for that much.
Just thought some of you might find this interesting.

According to the bid history, the other guy had a bid in before you. Also, he/she is from Des Moines, so that may explain it.

"Tavian was drafted in the 4th round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. After a promising start to the 1999 season, he was injured during a game against the Atlanta Falcons on November 7. Tavian had just caught a 5 yard pass, and was tackled cleanly by Falcon's cornerback, Ray Buchanan. He was carted off the field with what was being called a sprained knee. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a lot worse. Tavian had torn the ACL, PCL and LCL on his left knee. In addition he tore his hamstring and stretched a nerve."
This was published on 3/6/2006, I thought it was career ending but it goes on to say:
"While Sunday afternoon football is still months away, Tavian is ready to play. He has recently been clocked at running the 40 in 4.35 seconds."
It would be nice to see him come back.
<< <i>That's him, here is an injury report taken from "Cris Carter's Fast Program" (Must be a rehab program)

I remember he played against the Cowboys during a preseason game(I guess his rookie year) and he looked really good. Thats a shame he got hurt.
