roll of walkers

What would you be looking to pay for a roll of walkers? In the trading post, some guy is willing to sell a roll for $100. Sounds pretty good then again I don't know the quality of the coins!

Cause that's what they are!
I got involved in the bidding and went nuts. Back then (when it came to coins) I had more money than brains. For this single roll of circ walkers I bid $160. Of course I won. Here's where the story gets interesting.
After the auction ended the seller emailed me and asked if I realized that the auction was for only one roll. Being a relatively honest guy (that was just starting to figure out he did something stupid) I admitted that I had.
When I received the package from him it contained two rolls of walkers and in one of those rolls was a 1916S Obv in solid good and a 1921 in AG. The guy went above and beyond for me (an obvious newbie), but never explained it.
I spent the next year thinking all ebay transactions would be so great.
<< <i>One of my earliest collecting mistakes was paying waaaaay to much for an "average circulated" roll of walkers. I saw an auction on ebay that had originally been for two rolls, but had been edited to only one roll before any bids were placed. This was clearly explained in the auction.

Sounds like you weren't focused on reality after that because not everyone is going to go all out and be nice like that on ebay!
