Does the Scheduling of Pre-Show Auctions Affect Attendance or Bidding?

Both the ANR auction (Aug. 11) and the Heritage auction (Aug. 13 & 14) will take place before start of the ANA convention in Denver. It seems that the pre-show schedule will preclude lot viewing and floor bidding by many collectors and dealers. Are we now so accustomed to Internet bidding that the inconvenience of attending an auction (or viewing the lots) no longer matters?

Meanwhile, B&M (the official auctioneer of the convention) still hasn't delivered its catalogue or made it available online. image

The fact that ANR's is starting well before the ANA proper makes it inconvenient to an extent, but I believe the prices realized will once again demonstrate that if you build a really good auction people will come. Electronically, or in person.
