I've thought about buying some world coins. What price guide should I use?

I've thought about buying some world coins. What price guide should I use? I'm most interested in British, Cental American coins and just wonderfully toned coins.

The best overall guide is the Krause catalogues. A more specific England/Britian guide is Spink's Coins of England & The United Kingdom. If using Spinks, remember the grading system used is the British system which is a lot more conservative than the US system. For example, I have bought coins graded as gEF from British dealers, and have had the coins slab as MS61/62 by TPGs.
