Home Metal Detecting

I wish my detecting trips were like Zots! (parody)

Inspired by Zot, I took my detector out on an early morning stroll to see if I too could find some gold. Check out one of our beautiful local beaches. What a great day.

Well, detector in hand, I found some excellent artifacts on the beach that really were a great find for me. One is some foreign soda can I cannot place at all!

And this would hardy be a real detectors log if I did not get the local wildlife involved. A typical bird in my neighborhood!

Well... I hit a great hot spot, and after some digging I ran across a really interesting find, but I really cannot identify it! Can someone help me with this, I tried the potato trick, but it does not seem to be helping.

Inspired by my finds, I returned to my car only to find a real 2006 Iraqi death threat like right on my car!!! What a find!!! I think this is even cooler than Zot’s 1725 “death ring” that he found!

After a long run and some hiding and another long run, I finally made it home. What a memorable day detecting!!!

    There is some training involved.

The good news is, if you have taters big enough to fit a tank in, you can solve world hunger and probably become rich! image

PS- where the heck have you been, Zulan? Longtimenosee!

Be careful what you wish for though... there are also those Zot-hunts you don't get to see..
The other day for example (from a land hunt): A huge bag of trash only, well over 50 targets. Not one stinkin' coin. image
