Harold Reynolds.....

Harold Reynolds is out at ESPN, reportedly fired from his job as a baseball analyst.

Reynolds, a member of the Baseball Tonight team for 11 years, made his last appearance on the show Sunday night, ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz said Tuesday.


The network refused to comment on a New York Post report that said Reynolds was dismissed, or to provide any details regarding his departure.

"All I can say is he is no longer working here," Krulewitz said.

Reynolds, who played 12 major league seasons, joined ESPN in 1996. In addition to his work on Baseball Tonight, the former Gold Glove-winning second baseman also covered the College World Series and the Little League World Series for the network.

ESPN already was dealing with the loss of another baseball analyst, Peter Gammons, who has been off the air since he was stricken with a brain aneurysm on June 27.

    No word on what happened, not even speculation... So weird for this to happen without any forewarning.
    So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

    I liked Harold but that damn Joe Morgan....they should fire him just because he's so annoying.

    Joe Morgan clearly has deficiencies as a broadcaster. But it seems like he really loves baseball, and his voice is easy to listen to, so I usually end up giving him a free pass.

    Well said. Morgan as a great voice to listen too. I have always been able to kick back and enjoy games he does.

    I think Morgan's deficiencies are especially highlighted because of his being paired with Jon Miller...Miller is among the best in the business.

    Morgan pointing out the most inane of things is what kills him.

    I hope they don't give Tino more 'face' time - nothing personal, but he's not very personable. I see HR catching on with FOX sports...they always seem to pick up ESPN's leftovers.

    Morgan does have a decent voice and a great deal of knowledge and insight....he just chooses to state the obvious all the time which is what I find so annoying.

    So Joe Morgan is the John Madden of baseball? Whenever I'm watching a baseball game and he's calling it, I think of buses and 6 legged turduckens. Dunno why.

    I started a post about that a while ago. Joe Morgan is a complete waste of space and flesh. Never has there been such a arrogant demented elf pig man. Why can't Stuart Scott get fired for sexual assault.

    Stuart Scott and Joe Morgan both are annoying, my buddy works for ESPN and tells me Stuart Scott is actually a really fun guy to hang out with though.
