1902-O VAM 15A Discovery Coin Pictures Inside This Thread

This coin came up in another thread and I said I would post some images. Since it was buried within the other thread, I decided to start a new thread for its own. Sadly, the coin has some minor damage visible in the cap of Liberty, but since it was a new variety I decided to buy it anyway. Enjoy, Richard.

No fill in the 2. Though it is mentioned in the description update, that is known to be variable for several obverse dates with a final 2. They could also be separate obverse dies. The reverse is unquestionably identical.

<< <i>Here is the ANACS 63 I won last night. (I don't think Heritage will care if I edit a couple shots of it while I wait for my coin. Brightness just needed to come down. Otherwise, their scans were fine.)

Very nice find Coxe. If I looked at anything other than eBay, I might have found it, too.
Richard.
If I can figure it out, I will make a post on VAMworld. I have not poked around enough yet to figure all that out.
Nothing beats the thrill fo a discovery coin!

Thanks for the info Rob. I just updated VAMworld with this variety. Let me know what you think. I know it is not perfect, so any edits you want to do it fine.
Thanks, Richard.
