There was an article on it in the Numismatist sometime within the past three years I believe. The large cent that was used for the coin toss is on display in one of the museums out there. I'm thinking it was an 1835, but frankly I thought it appeared too worn to have been the one used.

And there used to be a minor league baseball team by the name of Portland Hawaii in Honolulu.
