antique roadshow football card find

Not sure if this was an old show, but tonights episode from Houston had a women who's Father was a candy store owner in the 50's. He saved 312 unopened packs of 1958 topps football!!! ! They showed cello packs with Starr, Unitas, Robustelli, and Marchetti on top. Why couldn't my Dad give me this kind of gift...all I got from him is his bad genes!

I do not know if it was a rerun, but it is good that
I do not have them; they would ALL be opened NOW !!!

That stuff could be worth more opened, depending on
the luck of the rippers. I remember that those packs
were generous. Starr and Unitas were a bit hard to
come by, but I recall that I had doubles and trips in
1958 of them at one time or another.

I do not remember if I had Jim Brown, or not.

If somebody had offered her $20K for the stash b4
she went on the show, she probably would have
    JUMPED all over it.

  • Yeah that's a rerun but a great episode either way.
