PSA's policy on perforation cards.

Do you actually have to separate perforated cards by hand, or can you cut them with a paper cutter so long as the card reaches the minimum size requirement? Anyone know? I have a bunch of cards that need to be perforated, but I would hate to do it by hand if I don't have to since I invariably end up with minor paper loss on the corners.
If anyone at PSA would like to chime in here it would be much appreciated.

<< <i>I am 100% positive someone on here went through all the trouble of cutting them and they were returned. They must be torn evenly. Kinda like cutting the perforations off a stamp then having it graded.... >>
Agreed - the perforated card has to be torn evenly by hand - no razors!!

<< <i>I have hand cut perforated cards and submitted them with success. I got a 10 on one I sent in this year. I cut along the perforation and not outside the edges. >>
Ugh! Now I've got to make a decision. I'll probably do a 'half and half', send them in with two different submissions, and see what sticks.
Do you mind me asking what card(s) you sent in?

reply to this thread. I know they are busy, but it would
save them having to answer a bunch of phone calls.

If I was submitting to BGS I wouldn't have to even ask the question. LOL.
Haven't had a problem yet with all of my subs. Take a look for yourself. A majority of them have been sent in by me.

Also if you look at the pop report for the STAR 86 CAREWS--most of those are mine( in the straight 8's and 9's) and their all perforated.
Does anyone know why these cards are perforated? Special issues ,back of boxes, sample sheets?
Design choice, So the kids don't use knives, scissors, or paper cutters to separate the cards!
