    Edges are largely troubling.
    Couple of corners, too.
Is that a Print Defect on the left of the "S" ?

    Guess: Not a 9.

    Pretty though.

Looks like a tire track running down from the top across the S of METS, so I'd have to think that's going to bring it down a fair amount. 7?
  • Is that a birthmark?

I've seen many 9s with those dreaded tire track markings, but I agree with toppscollector that that bottom right corner will keep it from a 9.

Ok Zef, That card probably doesnt have a shot at even a bccg 9, It looks like it may have been used as a dog chew for a while before you brutally snatched it from the garbage and re-colored Rusty's face with red crayon. My guess = Not holdered questionable authenticity.

If this does get a 9, I'll make sure to reference this thread if I sell it.

The tire track is from my pet mouse. He rides his Harley hot wheels all over my desk.

Tough to tell from scans on 1975 Topps because those color borders fill in card flaws on the scan, including making corners look better than what they might be. Based on that, I agree that it's "probably" an 8, possibly a 7.
  • That tire track is gonna kill any good grade. No offense Zef, I submitted a bunch of 75s with equal borders/corners (and no tire treads) figuring I'd pull a few 9s and got nothing but 7s and 8s.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

    I would get a 7 if I submitted it.

They're really tough on the '75s. I'd say maybe an 8, but most likely a 7. I had a '75 Ryan mini that I thought might have had an outside chance at 9, but no less than 8. It came back as 7.

The more I look at the lower right corner, the more I'm thinking 7....

    ....or 96.....

j/k, but seriously, it looks to me like a 7, maybe an 8.

If you get a 9 - come on back.

I like revenge threads - you can put a contract out on anyone that said it was an 8 or worse!
