Coins corroded in Hurricane Katrina

One of my relatives houses was flooded in Hurricane Katrina and he had about 200 or so Lincoln cents from 1909-1950's and they are heavily corroded. I am picking them up tomorrow in hopes of trying to salvage them for him in some kind of way.

Any ideas on what I should do.... I have heard everything from potatoes to olive oil... Not really worried about these being sent to be graded as they will stay with him.

Thanks
