Updated my 1968 set with a 67RD 68-D DONE Added MS67RD 68-S!

Updated my #1 1968 set by adding an MS67RD 1968-D Lincoln. It was a POP 9/0 but I just made 3 of them so it will be a POP 12/0.

Only the 1968-S in 67RD is left for possible upgrades. The other coins are in too tight of hands to wiggle them free. The MS68RD 68-S Lincoln is owned by Gerry, the 66FS 68-S Jeffs are in the top Jeff sets and who knows where the MS68 Washingtons reside?

Here is the submission from the order I made the MS67RD 68-D's.

  • Excellent job. I know how you feel about the tight upgrades. I am in the same situation with my 1980 set. Only pop 1 and pop 2 coins.

    Again Great job!! image
  • That find is so cool! Congrats! And I'm sure your 1968 quarters and maybe even S cent are better than the pop 1's already graded.

Seriously, congrats on these three - you have a good eye for the Lincolns! Were they from mint sets, rolls,...?

    Mike,
Thanks, I paid my dues image These were from Mint sets. The roll coins for the 68-D, at least from what I have found are not that great. They fall short in the strike so you get planchet marks on the shoulder and the steps tend to be not complete.

WooHoo Its done, I made an MS67RD 1968-S Lincoln. I made very coin save two and the set is untouchable. I have reached as far as I can go right now. There are some upgrades out there but they will be tough. I made the MS67RD 68-S with 6 68-S's that I included with a bulk 2006 circ submission. I still have hope for a 68 with the 128 coin 68-S submission still pending. realistically That is it for now.
