somewhere on this coin is most likely a "rub", something from keeping it in the mint state grades. Graded AU58 by NGC, this 50 franc 1857 beauty sure looks great for the grade. maybe i'll have to give in, after all; everyone "needs" a French 50 franc gold, right?!
