2006 Ultra Football...whats up with the non-numbered lucky 13s???

littered all over ebay are non-numbered lucky 13 rookies of the top 13 rookies..obviously....initially these cards were all numbered to 500 OR gold versions....did UD release non-numbered versions in retail only or something??

Must have, I pulled 2 both die-cut/ non-numbered and they were from retail(purchased to see if I wanted to do the set).

weird...they seem to have also made retail versions of all other rookies too....a master set would be ridiculous lol...i like the retail looking rookies better myself...the leinart and young look alot better..the reggie is nice too..

I didnt think gold lucky 13's were ever numbered?? Isnt it just platinum?

apparently this is the situation- there are hobby boxes with #d to 500 lucky 13s, non-numbered but just as rare gold lucky 13s, and then the #d to 25 autos and i think a platinum issue as well???

then there are the retail boxes which have the same rookies but different pictures and the lucky 13s are not numbered and from what im guessing somehow more plentiful in the retail boxes??

i am completely confused by this set and i only put this topic up because i had bought a case of ultra unknowningly back in May that the lucky 13s were going to be #500 thus making pulls impossible...i got the hobby case in my basement.....a wopping waste of money.
