Question about cracking slabs

Does anyone else get nervous about cracking some slabs? I finally got the nerve to crack open the 1892 Barber half that I bought in Baltimore last weekend. Here's the original story about it. I don't think I ever took so much time cracking a slab as I did this one.

use a band saw and cut through the labeled end.
Add two chicken bullion cubes and some sorghum and pry apart the halves. (serves 3 - 4 hungry numismatists)
