Nah. I'm afraid this little beauty is far out of JJ's (and my!) league. I saw it and my jaw hit the desk. Just blew me away.

That is way cool, assuming that's a half dime, it is a later die state than the one I have in my type album. I have the die crack that starts under the Y in LIBERTY, it goes to the face, but doesn't continue through the face or into the date. I have the same punctuation between the 9 and 5.

It's cool to see those things progress.

It's an LM9/V6 R4. The main bisecting die crack goes all the way from the top rim above Y to the to bottom rim below the 7. It has the branch off die crack that heads under Liberty's eye to her hair. I can just see the tiny crack from rim to S13 as well.

Tom check to see if your coin has the same reverse as this coin (look for the large berry under the left wing). If your coin doesn't have that berry then you have the LM8/V5 or V5a R3. You can also look for the relationship between A3 and the bottom right leaf (LM9 they will touch and LM8 they will not touch). The LM8 is the first use of Obverse die #7 and the LM9 is the second and last use. All LM9's should have the full bisecting crack from rim to rim but the early die state LM8's will have the crack in varying stages and lengths.

Don't know if the pop figures are correct, but it is pretty amazing if there are 10 of these between PCGS and NGC
