Now this is the first image thread I've ever seen on this forum about gold. No wonder it faded away and died image

Looks like fun. How many ounces and how long did it take?

When I was a kid growing up in Alaska we used to go all the time. We found some pretty good amounts but it probably wasn't worth the effort, especially at the time.

Very cool! It looks like you also have some iridium/osmium/platinum content nuggets in there as well. (You can tell by the darker gray colors, and if it was dredged using the classic density difference method, then they'd show up with the gold nuggets).

The necklace is a 3rd oz the larger nugget is 4 and a half and a little over six oz in pickers and smaller there is a little over 3 oz on the watch. Six full days of work.

Wow, that's some sweet looking gold. I do some panning here in Vermont, but I've never found anything that large. Most of the stuff I find is smaller than a grain of sand.

I hate to admit it, but here are some of the larger pieces I've found (no, not the coin)...

If any of those smaller pieces of yours get in your way, feel free to send them to me image

Vet: This is a very image thread. How many grams does the large gold nugget in the paper plate weigh? Was that also one that you found while dredging??

As you can see from the following, I am also a Gold Nugget Fan!! image

Here are 3 interesting links to the Perth Mint, Australia web site which contains a lot of fascinating information about Gold Nuggets for mineral collectors and potential purchasers of them.

The third link has many drop-down selectable menus with additional background info for those who want to drill deeper into this... 769 Gram Genuine Australian Gold Nugget -- My "Pet Rock" image
