An actual restrike from the original dies from which only 4 originals
were struck. Of the 500 purportedly struck in the 1870s by Scott,
only 72 have been graded by PCGS. The highest graded are two in MS64,
then 7 in MS63. I believe that 7 in MS63 is overstated due to
resubmissions. I believe there are really only 4 or 5. This is the
finest of the MS63s, and maybe even the MS64s. It is rainbow toned
around the entire perimeter on the obverse.
A truly underrated coin that has been getting a lot of attention
lately.
