First time ever... I reported someone to ebay

I was looking for Nationals tickets and came upon this auction.

Nationals hat & tickets?

I asked the seller why his auction title stated tickets if he's selling a hat. His reply was that "It's a word commonly used in listing titles for any sports item to attract more hits to the auction".

I feel that this is just flat out wrong.

I guess next time I sell a used jock strap, I can add "tickets" to the title since that is a sports item.

  • that's almost as bad as someone spamming psa in the title when they're selling an sgc card.

Whatever the word is that is used is just wrong if its not what is actually for sale. I've seen people list something for sale with free tickets as a gift to the winner but to list tickets and there aren't any, well I dont like it.

The thing that drives me nuts the most is the use of PSA as a question when selling a raw card. As in...

    1971 Topps Willie Mays PSA?
    My Giants collection want list

I agree with you - that's plain wrong, and the seller looks cheap for doing it.

There was an BIN listing up a while back with the title of....

1970 Topps SF Giants team lot!!! WILLIE MAYS!!!

However, the picture of the cards didn't how the Mays card. Shown were a bunch of commons and the Giants team card.

I sent a message to him:
"Hi, I don't see the Mays card pictured in the scan you've provided, could you email me a scan of the card? Thanks."

His reply was short and to the point:
    "Team card"
    My Giants collection want list

and why am i not surprised you reported someone? i certainly dont believe its the first time.. after all, you pretend to be barney fife..

and as a side hobby, you even patrol the metal detecting forums so you can chastise people..

First of all, whether you believe its the first time or not is not even an issue here. I'm sure there are just oodles of people reading these boards every day waiting for the official word on what you believe.

Secondly, I dont pretend to be Barney Fife. I am however a sworn law enforcement officer with 11 years experience where as you my friend most likely are still carrying your books to school.

Now as for "patrolling the metal detecting forum"...if you weren't patrolling it yourself, you wouldnt have seen me there. I visited that message board exactly 3 times a few months ago and made mention that I didnt care for the illegal drug promotion that was so prominantly displayed there.

    whatever barney..

youre a troll on these message boards.. you do nothing but intentionally try to degrade PSA, and lately you've been jumping in on threads where you dont belong, attacking some of the best forum members with your garbage posts..

haha, keeping singing that song junior. There are plenty of PSA members that come here and degrade PSA. You dont need my help. As for jumping in threads where I dont belong, who died and left you in charge?

Here's the best part.....in all the time I've been here and all the countless times I've tried to get people to hold their grader of choice accountable for their actions, I've never been banned, warned, censored etc. I guess PSA doesn't think I'm that bad.

I wasn't. I did a search for Nationals tickets and that auction came up.
