Yeah, if you are willing to go Darkside, there are some lovely patterns to be had. I once bought some lovely 1840s French pattern coins with lovely designs and proof surfaces for around 200 bucks. Lots more bang for the buck in Darkside patterns.

But if it is US patterns you want, be prepared to fork out four figures plus, unless you're lucky.
