will acetone remove these water spots from gold?

The seller states that he thinks that water/condensation spots have managed to enter the sealed cachet. Will a quick dip in acetone or anything else remove water type spots from proof gold? thanks!

Can't really make out the spots, which would not be water in any case but probably a copper chloride with a portion of the alloy on this coin's surface. The FM pieces, be they gold, silver or esp. copper=nickel do this. The dip will help but will of course take the coin out of original holder!

and acetone wouldn't help for either problem...it is essentially a degreaser.
