I just got an amusing numismatic blast from the past from a friend, whose father found it at a yard sale. It's a priceguide with some descriptive passages and tips for collectors. Maybe you have heard of it- I hadn't. It is Fell's Book Of U.S. Coins, or something like that, from 1953. By Jacques Del Monte. Lots of neat little lines about how you could cherrypick Shield nickels and stuff from circulation, or get Peace dollars from the bank. The book still has the original dustjacket. The jacket is a bit ragged, but the book itself is in pretty good shape- I would say EF at least if were a coin.
