Steiner mail-in autograph prices NUTS !!

Has anyone seen Steiners Website for mail -in signings? Minimum $500.00 for Derek Jeter on a ball or 8x10. The other Yankees are outrageously priced as well. Just wondering how much Derek gets on a per sig. basis? I guess people pay these prices???

It's the same thing with Tri-Star's site. They get people that aren't educated with pricing and hype them as must have items.

Looking for Jonny Gomes cards, especially Triple Threads and printing plates. Will consider all cards, though. Got something? Contact me at c_u_l_1@yahoo.com

I cant see how anyone would pay that money for a Jeter auto. The guy is 32, has been signing for 10 or so years, and will be signing for another 40 or so. For the same price you can get a real nice Mantle auto's ball, and you know he wont be signing any more.

Steiner's prices are nuts, but I've found that once you get on their mailing list, you get the inside track on some good deals. I was able to buy a game used jersey from the '98 season for about the price you would pay for an authentic jersey at the mall. I've also noticed that you can get stuff cheaper from Steiner dealers than you pay Steiner directly.

If you dig around on their website, they have an auction area where you can find some good deals as well. But in general, most of the stuff is way out of wack and I really don't need a duffle bag that Derek Jeter looked at in the clubhouse one day.
