My Latest Project

Guys, I've been working on something for the last few weeks, and I'm finally ready to unveil it. It's not finalized, but I'm hoping to get some feedback and suggestions.

I'll be adding sections for links, memorabilia and stats eventually, but for now the focus is on the cards. I'm also aggressively adding to my collection, which has been fairly stagnant for the last few years. I've added 50 cards this week and hope to add another couple hundred soon. I still have a bunch to scan, edit and post, but there's quite a collection already available. Each of the cards is in my collection, so if you have something you don't see, please let me know.

Anyway, take a look around and let me know what you think.

I really like what you have done. I have wanted to put something together like this for my Perez collection but I have not gotten over the learning curve to build a website yet. I like the simple layout and the radio buttons with different photos through the years of the Thrill. I hope you expand the site to include other than cards. On the card side, is it possible to add the year and manufacturer below each respective card? Keep up the good work.

That's a great site. I'm a Clark fan myself so it is great to page through so many of his cards at once.

    Sweet site.

I always loved his swing and intensity on the field.

One thing I noticed is that the p0rn-stash doesn't really fit The Thrill image

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
  • Great ballplayer. Extremely intense. One of my personal all-time favorites.

Excellent project! Keep up the GREAT work.

ajw, Really nice, I enjoyed it. I always wanted to do something like that with my Emmitt cards but I am not that "computerized". I guess I could have my wife do it for me image

  • Ajw,

Nice site, bold and to the point - I like. Have one suggestion though. When you click to view the year it would be nice if it didn't open another page. I know minor and I am not sure how hard it is to change/do something like that, but just wanted to mention it.

Again very nice site and you have made me remember the days of the Bay Series and that sweet swing.

I totally agree. I'm just not sure how to make it workable without opening in a new window. As I said, the site isn't done, and I'll keep tweaking it for some time.

I don't know if I understand the comment about clicking on a year - if I click on the year - what else can one get? Don't get it - unless he wants it to jump to an individual card and then press to continue?

Now, this is gonna be a Will Clark only?

So, in the "home page" - I assume you will talk about him and why you collect his stuff?

I'm guessing you will have a link for Clark collectors to pick up any dupes you have and stuff?

    I think that's a great start!

I'm looking forward to the completed project with links and stuff.
    Congratulations on a great start!

Nice site! Too bad I hate Will Clark with the same passion as Steve Garvey. He killed the Cubs in 89 playoffs. At least Clark didnt do the fist pump like Garvey in 84. image

Mike, the page will be dedicated only to my Will Clark collection. Since you posted I have added an "Info" page that explains why I collect Will Clark and how I became a fan. I've been continuing to update the site and I'm hoping to have a nice listing of links to other player collections, including our own Donato's Nolan Ryan page. If anyone else has player collection pages, please let me know, as I'd be happy to exchange links.

    Check it out...

    Nice improvement!

I hate to date myself but I went to HS with Steve. And, no I didn't play with him - I barely made JV!
We were friendly tho. We shared the same "best friend" in Darryl Bannister who lived across the street from Steve.

Spring training was a real treat back in the 60s!
