OT: Ebay Stores fees going up again.

Starting August 22, Ebay stores listings fees and final value fees are taking a major jump upwards. I could live with the Final Value fee increases, since that at least is on stuff that has sold, but the big jumps in listing fees sucks the big one...

* These Store Inventory format insertion fees take effect Aug. 22, 2006:

Starting Price New Insertion Fee Current Fee
$0.01 -- 24.99 5 cents 2 cents
$25.00 and higher 10 cents 2 cents

* Some Store Inventory format final value fees also will also increase, effective Aug. 22, 2006:

Selling Price New Final Value Fee Current Fee
$0.01 -- 25.00 10% 8%
$25.01 -- 100.00 7% 5%
$100.01 -- 1,000.00 5% (no change) 5%
$1,000.01 and higher 3% (no change) 3%

Well, you have to admit that the ebay store fees were incredibly low, 2 cents per item per month, regardless of value. In my opinion, many sellers abused this in various ways, maybe the significant increase will stop this. Even at 10c per item for higher value coins it still sounds like excellent value to me.

Let alone that the newly invented dinstinction, will lead many sellers to price many items that were previously slightly higher, at $24.99.
