I agree. the group is too diverse to sell together.

  • OVER A 500 MARK UP TO BREAK THE UP ? INTERESTING TO SAY THE LEAST
  • I don't think he wants to sell the cards. I made what I thought was a reasonable/realistic offer on the lot and was turned down.

  • You asked for Best offers on the lot. I made an offer of approx 72% of SMR for the lot. Which IMO was a Reasonable/Realistic offer. Maybe you will get your asking prices for the lot, now that you have posted single card prices. But those prices will not come from me as alot or single cards.

edited because 1420 and Aconte certainly know more than I do about this stuff. The offer seemed low to me.

    Rob,

my offer still stands. I'll sell them on ebay for you.

I actually thought it was a fair offer considering the cards and grades involved.

gotta agree with that underdog guy ... 900 is probably more than he will make selling them individually.

Mid grade stuff is great to own, but don't expect to make any money for the most part. Sometimes it is tough to get 90% of the value back.

$900? I previously offered $1,000 and was turned down.

I just checked ebay's completed items on these cards and here is what turned up:

1963 Topps Rose PSA 6 -- only one sold at $455

1957 Topps Unitas PSA 6 -- two sold at $237 and $267 (say an average of $250)

1965 Topps Namath PSA 4 -- only one sold at $525

1976 Payton PSA 8 -- eight sold (rough average of $185)

I should add that I never bothered to check sold cards for details (ie. were reserves set, high-end cards for the grade, etc); just a quick hit on each card in same PSA grade in completed listings.

That said, the total sale price for the lot is just over $1,400.

Hope this helps in a mutaully fair deal being struck.
