Grades Popped

Maybe I should've waited...I knew there were a few borderline 5/6 cards in there..but a lot more 5's than I expected and most of the 6's I expected 7's on.
3 cards were previously returned to me as miscuts and all were holdered this time around. Curious to see the other 4 miscuts this time.
The 68 Carew was in a GAI 6.5 holder, then graded by PSA as a 6...now it's in a 5 holder...think I'll just crack it and sell it. (I thought it would get into a 7, guess not)

Anyways...here's the not so goods... The majority of the football is for my registry. The rest will probably get sold in bulk since most of it is of marginal value based on the grade.

This one gets me almost every time. I can take 'em
straight out of the pack, look at 'em "good," and
still miss the crease. It has gotten me at least three
times in the past year. Each time I have resolved to
    be more cautious, but still.........

I put these under a loupe and under a halogen lamp. I removed three other cards before I submitted for very small surface wrinkles I had previously missed.... So I'm 99% sure there were no creases, and I know they didn't get creased during shipping... Aw well. A few are good enough for my registry collection, many will have to be upgraded.

I probably shouldn't have even bothered submitting many of them but most were cheaper pickups at the National last year (just waiting for this type of special). Unfortunately for me, 12 months ago I wasn't disciplined enough to turn away a card if I needed it and hadn't been able to find it, so if the price was right, I'd pick it up in Ex to NM grade and submit it.... I've since learned my lesson and I'm far more picky now. Oh well, they'll make decent placeholders til the upgrades come along.
