What to look for in change? Old Quarters and nickels

I'm a hoarder of change. It generally goes in a bag or can. I've been searching a lot of new change and went and hit the bulk of my US coin change I've gotten since moving to Japan. One thing that's readily apparent. There's a lot of old change here. I don't know if it just keeps circulating here or what. I lost count of how many 1960's type quarters and there are a lot of 1940's thru 50's Jefferson nickels as well.
Anything in particular in this range I should keep my eyes open for?
