Last I heard it was Steve Hart, but that was close to a year ago. I was told the holders will be more durable (less flexable) than Globals.

I wonder if PSA is/was able to get any significant pack collections into its holders, either from a collector standpoint, or for something to show up in an upcoming auction?

I think Fritsch's stuff is still going through Global.

It only took PSA a year or so to announce an update to this! That's even worse than some of my submissions ;-)
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Well, I have been waiting for this.

I had heard so many war stories about GAI that I didn't want to go thru the hassle.

I wonder what PSA's holder will look like?

Well, I wish PSA - Good Luck on their new program.

I wonder if a registry on this will get people involved in crack and submits to PSA?

Steve's bio was added to the list of their authenticator's on the collector's universe main page. their is a write up and photo of Steve there.
i believe he's listed as an unopened pack consultant or something like that.

If they do this right, I'll crack my GAI packs and resubmit them to PSA. I'll wait and see for a few months first.

  • Nice announcement!

Let's hope they have accumulated a list of GAI's sporadic mis-steps, and have utilized a strategy to learn from them.

I doubt many collectors will crack their vintage GAI packs to resubmit them to PSA unless it's for the registry set. I do think there will be a premium for PSA graded packs, especially in the beginning, and I'm wondering how this will affect the value of GAI graded packs in the short and long term.

I have not had any experience with GAI but plenty with PSA. For no particular reason I never sent in any of my unopened stuff to be graded. Now that PSA will do it, and I am familiar with the process and their service already, I will definitely be getting it all graded. Does anyone know if they will do full boxes as well?

This is great news...long overdue. PSA isn't perfect but at least I trust PSA. I don't trust GAI as far as I can throw them.
