New VAMs

Got my 3rd box back. Leroy declined in listing my 89-O Y clashed one. But here are three he accepted: an R-6 1891-P mini bar wing, an 1891-S R-5 gouge, and a new 1895-O variety, the key for the date at R-5.

Incorrectly labelled....VAM-9A, not 19A.

Outstanding break on that 91. Thought I was looking at an 1889 Barwing. Way to go. image

Thanks, all. I really couldn't wait to get the 91-P off to Leroy. It is really a neat coin and is expected rarer than the mustache variety (aka snot sucker). (I actually thought it might have been the VAM-2A at first due to the clashing.)

Of the ones he has currently, the one that might be interesting is an 1886-P. The date is multiply repunched and, based on curvatures, it appears that they incorrectly punched it as 1868 initially. Strong and sharp traces of these other digits are inside the lower loops of the last two digits. Leroy's analysis should be interesting on that one.
