Clashmarks on Peace Dollar?

Are there known clashmarks on the 1922 Peace Dollar?

I found one in a roll where it seems to be an upside down obverse impression on the reverse, especially into and out of the Breast, as well as the impression continuing through the Legs and noticibly marked at the ONE.

What do you think without pictures, what these marks could be?

. My camera is down, and It will be a while before I can try to get any Pics.

Without pictures... I think it could be an overactive imagination.

Seriously though, we'll need pics to help you figure this out. Repost when you get some images.

Yes, Peace dollars are found clashed. However, you will find the clashing in the fields and not on the devices like the eagle's breast that mentioned. The ones to look for are what appear as vertical gouges up from the eagle's right shoulder toward the U of UNUM. When there are two of then they cross each other and/or extend into the motto.

In the Right shoulder it looks like spikes above the hair of the Peace near the back of her bonnet.

Here's an image you can use to help you with where clash marks originate from the other die. The marks you show look like hits and post-mint issues....

The overlay also helps to show why Liberty's hair detail and eagle's breast/lower right wing are often poorly struck...too much overlap of high points on obverse and reverse.

Based on your pictures, the abnormalities look more like strike thru or post mint damage. Definitely not clash marks.

MadforMorgans: The mark I'm talking about is in the right shoulder, not like your pics.

Although, I was looked over my roll, and I have two coins showing the same mark as yours. Is this a VAM? If so, what type?

Another Peace dollar has tons of raised areas, looking like corrosion or irregular water marks in the fields of the reverse. What would cause this?
