How would you rate my purchase of a 1957 Topps

PSA 8 Rocky Colavito card? I usually do not bid on items with a price-point this high, but I put in a bid for this one 2 days before it ended and I won. Final sale price was $156.00. Is this a good, bad or okay deal?

I know that it's a beautiful card and it really doesn't matter what you paid for it if you really like it!

But, with that being said, the same card went for about $135 and it wasn't even in the ballpark with the centering as yours is. So, doesn't seem like a bad deal at all. image

That's not an outrageous price, or an extremely low one. A decent deal, I would say. I paid more for mine.

As for the card, it is super sharp! Congrats.

It's OK. Colavito is very popular, the Gil Hodges of Cleveland, and the card is very nice looking, the perfect centering overcoming the soft corner in my eyes.

  • Very Fair price not a steal but very fair in my opinion . I paid the same and yours looks better Jeff

    Congratulations on a great pickup!

The price was great considering the centering is on the money!

I have seen where centered 8s go for SMR and above a lot of times on a popular set. And he's a popular card in my book also.

    It's a keeper!!!!
    thanx for sharing - beautiful.

A sweet card of a terrific player. Like everyone says, it's within the parameters and if you're happy (as I would be), it's all cool.
